Belar Homestead (Motel)

I’m a 4th generation farmer and The Belars has been in my family since 1898 when it was settled by my Great Grandfather CA Wright with his wife and several children.

The Belar Homestead was built in 1898 from local pine trees with the bricks being made on site. All rooms have 13’ wooden ceilings except for the kitchen and 4th bedroom while the lounge room ceiling peaks at approx 15’. Definitely built with the hot summers in mind.

The Belars is located 30klms north of Narromine & 45 klms from Dubbo.

Homestead:

Fully equipped kitchen [but no dishwasher as yet] with functioning double wood fire & espresso machine
Huge lounge room / dining room - TV DVD open fire
Small sitting room with open fire & cosy lounge to read, sit or snooze
3 average size bedrooms with double beds and two having French Door access onto veranda
4th bedroom slightly larger and able to accommodate two adults and two children or up to five children with trundles
Renovated laundry, shower and toilet with new front loading washing machine
Basic original bathroom with shower/bath & toilet
Huge bullnose verandah around house with outdoor furniture & pool table
Original out door shower supplied with bore water straight from under ground springs.

Furniture currently a shabby & chic ambience [mix of antiques & functional furniture]
