Mt Gipps Station (Farm Stays, Station Stays)

Mount Gipps Station is an 85,000 acre working sheep station. It is situated 40kms north of Broken Hill and is divided by the Barrier Ranges.

 John and Kym Cramp own and operate Mount Gipps Station   and  are descendants of the area's pioneers and have extensive knowledge of the district's history. They will tailor your stay to meet your interests.

You can take a 'tag along' tour to discover the everyday workings of a sheep station or simply just take in the sensational scenery.

Mount Gipps has a variety of landscapes to explore. These range from amazing rocks carved out into an assortment of shapes by wind and water; ancient creek gums suspended from cliff faces in beautiful gorges; rock holes filled with water after rain and magnificent 360° views of this spectacular country from the ranges.

Mt Gipps Stationis located just 40 kilometres north of Broken Hill.  Access is well signposted. From Broken Hill take the Silver City Highway toward Tibooburra and after crossing the Yancowinna Creek at Yanco Glen, take the Corona Road to the left. Mt Gipps homestead entrance is located 9 km from the intersection.

If travelling south along the Silver City Highway from Tibooburra or Mutawintji National Park, the intersection with the Corona Road is visible as you approach the former Yanco Glen hotel site from the north.

Mt Gipps is also accessible from the Corona Road when travelling from the north (Smithville and Pine View). 

Take  the Corona Road across the Barrier Ranges. Note the Tarrawingee Tramway track and even the ruins of Tarrawingee township along this route.
