The layout of the Park itself is very interesting. Rather than the usual practice of 'clear then build', the Park and its facilities have all been created within the existing environment - a rugged landscape of boulders and spectacular rock formations.

The park facilities also include 25 cabins & villas which are fully self contained and offer all of the comforts of home, including TV, microwave and air-conditioning. With varying layouts, the cabins are suitable for couples or families.

The sun setting on the rocky outcrops adjacent to the Park is a photographer's delight. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to obtain a special memory of your 'outback experience' as the most amazing colours unfold right before your eyes.

During the tourist season, the Park's well equipped Camp Kitchen will come to life during the afternoon with entertainment from the award winning Barry & Lin Chandler. Barry is a very engaging bush balladeer, storyteller and songwriter. So come along and enjoy some good old fashioned country hospitality.

Whether you are staying in 'the Curry' overnight or for several days, make sure you visit the Mary Kathleen Memorial Park Information Centre which is only a short walk from the Caravan Park. Maps and suggested itineraries for visiting all of the local attractions are available.

Cloncurry is a popular stop over point for travelers on their way to the majestic Lawn Hill Gorge and National Park. For those who do not wish to tow their caravans into the Gorge, the Park also provides storage facilities.

During your visit keep your eye out for our famous Gilbert Dragon, a lizard which can been all around the park. These harmless friendly little creatures will, after running a short distance, stop and wave one front foot - hence the nick name ta ta lizard.
