The 2011 Deni Ute Muster Program Highlights

The 2011 Deni Ute Muster will be the 13th muster and held from 6am Friday, September 30 until close on Saturday, October 1. Live music will be held for the first time on the Sunday morning from 8am, along with food vendors opening for breakfast.

The Nulon World Record Blue Singlet Count will take place at 11.30am on Saturday in the Deni Freighters Sports Arena this year to ensure we have enough space to fit everyone in! The current record is 3500 people … come along, pop on a blue singlet and make history!

The World record Ute count will take place during Saturday morning with the final numbers for both record counts announced on the Essential Energy State on the Saturday night.

Music: Begins at 8am every day with the Ice Break Stage for the best up and coming Australian country music artists. This year, the line-up includes Amber Lawrence, Jayne Denham, Luke Dickens, Tori Darke, Harry Hookey, The Noll Brothers and The Apprentices

On the Essential Energy stage, the line ups include:

Friday night:Tori Darke, McAlister Kemp, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole, The Sunny Cowgirls and Suzi Quatro. (Suzi will spend 2 hours signing copies of her new album In the Spotlight (not old albums) at the Sanity merchandise store on Friday afternoon before she heads backstage to prepare for her performance.)

Saturday night: Luke Dickens, Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Brand, Guy Sebastian, Eskimo Joe and Icehouse.

Saturday afternoon– during the ½ break of the AFL Grand Final – Mental As Anything.

Camp Quality: Each year the Deniliquin Ute Muster chooses a charity to support through allowing them to activate at the Festival.

Entries for all these driving competitions remain open until 2 weeks prior to the Festival (September 16). Entry forms and rules and regulations can be downloaded from www.deniutemuster.com.au.  In a change to format, there will be no entries taken on the day.

AFL Grand final broadcast:No longer that ‘one day in September’ the AFL Grand Final will be played on the Saturday of the Festival.  The game will be broadcast live on the big screen, with ½ time entertainment of Mental As Anything, live on the Deni Ute Muster’s Essential Energy stage!

Holden Grunt Off: Grab together a team of 5 mates or 5 girlfriends and see if you can pull the Holden Ute over the 40m Grunt Off course the fastest! The winning teams receive a full catered Deni Ute Muster experience for the Saturday night concert in their own corporate centre.

Competitions:There are plenty of ways to win a little something extra at this year’s Deni Ute Muster.

Burke and Wills Swag throwing competition: win yourself a brand new swag by throwing a swag into the back of a Ute.  Competitions for men, women and kids.

Camping: Is onsite and free for ticket holders. There are three camping areas – the Ute Paddock (for Ute only), the non-ute paddock (for those wanting to be near friends/family in the ute paddock) and the Family Camping area. Toilet and shower amenities and drinking water access is provided in these areas. A designated disabled camping area is situated near the Family Camping area.

Rent A Tent!

Deniliquin Ute Muster organisers and the Rent a Tent Company are offering patrons the opportunity to Rent A Tent at the 2011 Festival.

Save the hassle of carting, putting up and dismantling your own tent – this will all be provided for your convenience and ready when you arrive.
The Deluxe Rent a Tents provide you also with camp stretcher, camp mattress & sleeping bag
with liner per person (pillow not included).

Your Rent A Tent will be available to camp in on Friday, September 30 & Saturday October 1,
2011. Your Rent A Tent will be dismantled by organisers Sunday morning at 12noon.

Other infomation:

There are over 100 high quality trade sites at this year’s event, showcasing everything from clothing to ute accessories to hats and children’s items. More than 20 catering stalls selling everything from barbecue food, to souvlaki, to wood fired pizza, ice cream, coffee and a wine bar will also be operating on site from 8am each day.
