Cunnamulla Fella Festival & PBR Touring Pro Division Bull Ride (Rodeo)

Experience the thrill & hospitality of the west with Festival fun & PBR Touring Pro Division Bull Ride in Cunnamulla. Cowboys, bull riders, shearers and stockmen will converge on the famous town of Cunnamulla in country Queensland for one of the most diverse events in the state.

The programme is presented and sponsored by the Paroo Shire Council, the Cunnamulla Fella Festival - a bush ‘Iron Man’ competition – a test of strength, bush cunning and survival skills, Poetry Competition and the Cunnamulla Opal Buckle – the richest bull ride in Western Queensland.

Expect to see...

Some action packed rodeo entertainment and PBR bull riding as Australia’s best professional riders compete for the coveted Cunnamulla Opal Buckle. The Cunnamulla Fella Bull Ride is open to adults - over 18 years. The challenge, made up of 7 bush events, includes whip cracking and a cross cut saw race. Markets, children's activities, workshops of traditional bush skills provide a variety of events. A special feature this year is Dancing Classrooms to present a culmination of two weeks dance workshops with school students on Saturday morning

Great family entertainment...

There are plenty of things to do with a jam-packed program of entertainment with country music, live entertainment by the Crackup Sisters and a carnival atmosphere. The ‘Fella Festival’ makes for a great family day out with plenty of activities for the kids.

Each year, the event goes from strength to strength with tourists coming from NSW, Queensland and Victoria. It is a fun celebration of the cultural heritage of Cunnamulla and the Paroo Shire. The festival has become a highlight of the outback events calendar and this year, it will be bigger and better than ever.

The Festival includes a New Rodeo on Friday evening, with the exciting PBR Touring Pro Division  Bull Ride on Saturday evening, where professional bull riders will compete for the coveted Cunnamulla Fella Festival & PBR Touring Pro Division, Opal Buckle and $8000.00 Prize money. You can enjoy all the live action and replays on our widescreen that has added another dimension to Rodeo and Bull riding to the westand Cunnamulla.
