Deni Ute Muster (Musters)

Celebrating Australia's love of the ute, a good time, and all things Aussie, the 2012 Deniliquin Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival will be held on Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29th, 2012.

Held on the flattest natural open plains in the world in the Southern Riverina of NSW, the festival celebrates everything Australian.

The event started in 1999 when a group of community-minded people came up the idea of celebrating rural Australia and the humble Aussie ute. In its first year, more than 5000 people attended and set a new world record for the most number of utes gathered in the place (2839), and since then, the Festival has gone from strength to strength.

In 2011, the Festival set two Guinness World Records - most number of utes gathered in the one place at 10,152; and most number of people wearing blue singlets at 3500.

The Festival remains community-based and is run with a handful of staff and more than 1500 volunteers and proceeds go to local charities and organisations.
In 2012, two massive days of entertainment are planned with the headline acts performing two live concerts, a day stage of entertainment showcasing up and coming Australian music acts,a bull ride spectacular, the Australian National Circle Work Championships (TM), Holden Ute Barrel Race, Go To Wo (timed driving) competition, Show and Shine competitions.

The 2012 Deni Ute Muster is already shaping up to be another great event, both on stage and around the grounds, and one we are already getting excited about, we have already confirmed that Lee Kernaghan, John Williamson, The McClymonts and McAlister Kemp will be returning to the Essential Energy Stage to perform in 2012

This year’s theme colour – emerald green

Tickets: We are moving with the times and taking the event to e-ticketing which will allow patrons to buy their tickets online, print them out at home and bring them along to the Muster, which we feel will help people wanting to attend our festival to buy tickets, and also improve patron entry to the event. People who do not have access to the internet can still call Muster HQ to purchase tickets over the phone.

Festival passes include: All entertainment, camping onsite and every adult ticket also included a raffle ticket to win a new Holden Redline SS V-Seriers Ute valued at over $58,000.

Plenty of family activities to entertain all ages, more than 80 trade sites and on-site catering.
Set on the flattest natural plains on Earth, the site includes huge areas of camping to accommodate everything from the ute, to sedans, campervans, trailers and mobile homes, so if you don't have a ute, don't dispair.

Festival is held annually on the NSW Labour Day long weekend. Gates open at 6am on the Friday, day entertainment from 8am.  Tickets available from December.

The Deniliquin Ute Muster runs from Friday 28th September -Saturday 29th October 2012, located in Deniliquin, Southern Riverina, New South Wales.
