Longreach Outback Drover’s Reunion (Rodeo)
Each year outback workers, drovers, stockmen and women come together to honour the Drovers of days gone by. This has become an annual pilgrimage to come back to Longreach each year, to the home of the Drover.
Sitting around the campfire they tell yarns and remember those who lived lonely in the saddle moving stock through the Australian Outback. The Stockmen and women are here to participate in the annual outback games at Longreach.
Experience life in the bush with the Longreach Outback Drover's Reunion
Highlights of the weekend include Billy Tea and Damper, camp oven meals, Outback Games such as Whip Cracking, Billy Boiling and Damper Making, Driving the Nail, Boot Throwing.
There will also be Campfire Dinners with Yarn Telling.
