Tara explodes with excitement with a three day festival of multi-cultural celebrations and Camel Racing program. The festivities commence with a Spanish Fiesta at 6pm Friday, an all Spanish themed evening where you’re encouraged to participate including wearing your favourite Spanish costume. Come along and share in the cuisine, cultural dance, beverage and socialise with the Spanish citizens.
Saturday and Sunday includes The Twine, The Armenians,, African Drummers, Turkish dancing, New Varangian Guard, a team challenge and more. Reunions of all types are gaining momentum at the festival, so grab a group together, head on out and you may even win a prize.
For a great affordable weekend, come along and share the unique and wonderful elements of diverse cultures. Established to celebrate the cultural divergence of the community, this biennial event draws over 6000 people from across Australia.
The local community is heavily involved in organising the festival and camel races, offering the best of country life with a multicultural twist.
