Warrumbungle Crooked Mountain Concert (Outback Festivals)
The breathtaking Warrumbungle National Park is the backdrop for this very special outdoor event in November. Come along and get ready to be entertained by the fabulous Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows. Bring your own chairs or picnic rug…sample some of the delicious regional food and wine on offer from stalls operating throughout the evening. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!
The concert will commence late afternoon, followed by a traditional Gamilaroi Welcome to Country. The evening program will commence with the unique honest vocals of Roshani Priddis and the Merchants of Venice, well known Gunnedah rock/country band the Streamliners and the folk / pop sound of Helen Conroy.
Concert goers are reminded they should bring their own seating, warm clothes as it does cool off at night and a torch is always useful at the end of the evening as you walk back to your car. Buses will run from Coonabarabran and return, but bookings are essential. Why not get a group together and organise a bus to bring you to the Concert…no need for a designated driver!!
This is great family event! Children will be well entertained, with a designated supervised play-space...parents can leave their children with experienced Children’s entertainers from 5.00pm and then settle in to enjoy their evening knowing their kids are safe and in sight.
While our concert goers are welcome to bring a picnic tea with them...we do encourage them to taste the delicious treats from our food and wine stalls.
With great food, wine and coffee, awesome entertainment and the best outdoor concert venue you’ll ever get to…why would you want to go to any other concert?!

ABOUT THE CROOKED MOUNTAIN CONCERT:
The concept of an outdoor concert was initiated in 2005 with Sirocco and DidjeriduDingo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Warrumbungles as a national park and since then has attracted performers like James Morrison, stringmansassy, Emma Pask, Vince Jones, James Reyne, Kate Ceberano and Jon English. In the entertainment world it has become a must do event.
The Coonabarabran Area office of NPWS is appreciative of the support and sponsorship provided by its partners in this venture –The VRA, Warrumbungle Shire Council, ABC local radio, the Coonabarabran Arts Council, and Origin Energy.
