Birdsville Hotel

The Birdsville Hotel, built back in 1884, has seen history in the making.  It's a place where yarns have been spun for more than a century, a place in a harsh environment where the true spirit of Australian mateship still lives on.  No exploration of the Australian Outback is complete without a pilgrimage to the Birdsville Hotel.

Birdsville cames alive with the Birdsville races each September, the town swells as people arrive with caravans, tents and trailers.  Others fly in for the unique outback event
