Home Valley Station
A Big Kimberley welcome to you from Home Valley Station.
The Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) purchased Home Valley Station along with Karunjie Station and Durack River Station in the vast Kimberley area of Western Australia in 1999 for the purpose of offering sustainable employment to both town locals and local Indigenous communities through the development of a pastoral and tourism enterprise.
Today, Home Valley Station - located 120 kms from Kununurra on the famous Gibb River Road is a working cattle station catering to the ever growing Kimberley tourist market (offering Traineeships and Apprenticeships in Resort and Station Management) ensuring your experience here is genuine, enjoyable and unforgettable.
Home Valley Station offers a range of unique outback accommodation options to use as a base while exploring some of the 3.5 million acres or so of untamed Kimberley wilderness.
Tailor made itineries include Daily trail rides, and horse riding, HV8 Station Tour & Australia Movie locations tour, Cockburn Range Sunset Tour, Twitchers' Tour, Home Valley Station Mini-Muster, the JR Horsemanship Show, Bindoola Gorge, Falls and Pools run, Chimoolie Calling stock route tour, and more Fishing Tours than you can poke a rod at, as well as the signature 6 day Kimberley Heritage Cattle Drive.
Perhaps you would like to enjoy safe swimming, explore Bondi Beach, Jack’s Waterhole, Salmond Gorge, the Pentecost River or the Cockburn Ranges; all can be arranged. And when your da
y draws to a close relax at the Dusty Bar & Grill before alfresco dining from the à la carte menu. After dinner, guests are often treated to bush poetry recitals, live local entertainment along with nightly campfire entertainment to complete your evening.
Tours range from a couple of hours up to 6 days and because of the remote location of many of them can only be undertaken with an experienced Home Valley Station Guide.
A Scenic Flight over Lake Argyle, the Ord Dam, Lissadell Homestead, the Osmand Range and on to the Bungle Bungles before returning over the Argyle Diamond Mine to view the Pentecost River, Cockburn Range and, El Questro Station will be a highlight of your Kimberley holiday.
A minimum of 4 days is recommended to get a feel for this exciting part of the Kimberley and enjoy just some of what the station offers, but most people stay much longer. Just 1 experience or tour per day would see you here for about a month – there’s just so much to do.
Home Valley Station also caters for Weddings, Corporate Events and more recently has played host to many movies and Television shows.
If you are looking for a truly unique adventure experience that you will remember for the rest of your days you must visit us here at Home Valley Station.
