About Boomi

Boomi is a small town in the Moree Plains Shire, NW New South Wales about 95kms north of Moree and 85kms west of Goondiwindi. Boomi lies in the floodplains near the Boomi River that flows out of the Barwon/McIntyre River north of town and back into the Barwon River south of Mungindi.

The area is renowned for its quality wool and beef industries, cotton, dry-land crops and its Hot Artesian Spa which has been used to swim in since its original construction in 1905.

Whether you come for a day or stay for a week, Boomi is a place you can make as busy or relaxing as you like. There are walks, historical sites, places to eat, sports to play, swimming, sightseeing and people to meet!

Accommodation consists of caravan sites adjoining the Baths, Bush Campsites and rooms at the Pioneer Hotel. Caravans and camper trailers can also stay at Bush camps on local properties near the township or on the Barwon River.
