Griffith

Griffith is exciting and a great place to visit

About Griffith

"Uninhabitable and useless to civilised man"

Well that's what explorer John Oxley thought when he ventured through Griffith.  Cue a few oversized sprinklers (or state of the art irrigation system) and Voila!, you've got  one of the most resourceful crop producing regions of NSW.

Griffith is exciting and a great place to visit

An interesting fact about Griffith is that Walter Burley Griffin (the famous town planner of Australia's capital) also design the regional city.  Similar to Canberra, the aerial view shows centralised areas and a well organised town - so you really shouldnt get lost.  But if you do want to get lost in all Griffith has to offer, here are some great ideas for what to see and do.

The greats of Griffith

You can't go past the Citrus Sculptures, Jet Sprint Boat Championships and dozens of wineries. A visit to the Visitor Information Centre under "The Big Plane" in Banna Avenue will be a great start to your exploration of this beautiful city.
