Even though they are 7 km apart and on opposite sides of the Murray River, Albury and Wodonga form a large urban area which is the border between New South Wales and Victoria.
Tantalise your tastebuds
Visitors can indulge in the mouth watering gourmet produce of the surrounding valleys. There are award winning wines and unique cheeses as well as locally produced small goods, berries, apples and nuts.
You can explore the famous Murray via canoe or paddle steamer, or take on white water rafting. Sail boating and water skiing on the Lake Hume are also popular water sports. Annual events include the Albury Festival of Sport, the Albury Gold Cup Festival and the Wodonga Show, which both take place every March.
Other fabulous festivals include the Albury-Wodonga Wine and Food Festival in September-October, the Albury Show and the Bonegilla Festival in October, the Albury-Wodonga International Festival in November and the Ngan Girra Festival in November.
