About Kingaroy

Located around 2.5 hours North West of Brisbane is Kingaroy also known as “Australia’s peanut capital”, the peanut manufacturing plant is located in the heart of the town and peanut silos dominate the skyline. In 1904 with the arrival of the railway Kingaroy began to develop to a larger town.

Peanuts and Navy beans were the town’s main industry; however since the 1990’s the wine industry has become popular.

Kingaroy has a great range of services, shopping facilities and industries together with wineries offering tastings makes for an excellent holiday destination. The people seeking a trip to the country, located just half an hour away are the Bunya Mountains.
