With a population of approximately 5700, Atherton is the largest town in the Atherton Tablelands, a tropical rainforest area filled with scenic waterfalls and picturesque lakes. 

The rich soils of this beautiful land make it perfect for vegetation, in particular the area is renowned for its avocado’s, tomatoes, potatoes, peanuts, maize and other grains.

The area is swarming with birdlife making it a perfect destination for avid birdwatchers.
