Bollon is a quaint little township of population approximately 500, located 112 kms west of St George on the Adventure Way. As you drive into town, you'll be impressed by the large white arches signifying the location of the picturesque Walter Austin Memorial Park in dedication of the the young men who honoured the country as part of their service to the Australian Armed Forces. The Park makes an ideal resting point where you can stop for a 'cuppa' and take in the peace and serenity of quiet surrounds.
On the banks of Wallam Creek, you will find the habitat of a large koala population which thrives on the abundant Red River Gums in the area. Bird watchers will also love Bollon as there are more than 110 species of birds have been recorded in the area. The Rosehill Aviary is the most complete collection of parrots in Australia. You can set up camp on Wallam Creek and enjoy the wildlife
