Just 60 minutes from downtown Brisbane, located in the fertile Lockyer Valley of South East Queensland is Gatton Shire. Known for it's scenic backdrop of steep hills and mountains of The Great Dividing Range, Gatton is one of the fastest growing and most beautiful regions, encompassing some of the richest farming land in Australia.

Today Gatton lies in the heart of a rich farming area where the fertile black soils provide huge crops of potatoes, onions, and vegetables for the Brisbane markets. The area is also known for its beef and dairy industries, fodda  making up the some of crops

The Gatton Historical Village is keeping local history alive, preserving heritage buildings and memorabilia on the southern border of Lake Apex Park.
