Camel racing is a great tradition in the bush and the Winton races have something for everyone. For one day jam packed with fun and entertainment including an 8 races program including the Winton Camel Cup, with gates opening at 10am till late. This year we have a Motor Bike challenge with the 2009 wheel stand competition champion riding 1.1km on his back wheel; Ross Oakhill has set a high bench mark to beat! Along with the Wheel Stand Challenge there will be Motor Bike Barrel Races and Bending Races with three age classes to enter in; 8 and under, 9 – 14 years and Opens. 2010 Winton Camel Races program:• Gates open at 9.30am • Entry $10 Adults, $5 Age Pensioners (must produce pensioner card) and Children are FREE!!
Racing starts at 10am with heats10.00am Race 1 10.30am Race 2 11.00am Race 3 11.30am Race 4
Break for lunch Novelty events through out the day for young and young at heart including; Tag the Camel, Hay Bale rolling competitions, Mutton Busters, children’s activities
2.00pm Race 5 – Open Race 2.30pm Race 6 – Consolation 3.00pm Race 7 – Camel Plate 3.30pm Race 8 - Camel Cup
3.40pm – 5.30pm Motor Bike Events Wheel Stand Challenge, Barrel Races, Bending Races
Live entertainment by the Rock Machine Food stalls/ Meals, Stalls and Bar operating till late.
