Wes_Car.JPGThe breathtaking Warrumbungle National Park is the backdrop for this very special outdoor event in November. Come along and get ready to be entertained by the fabulous Ian Moss with Wes Carr, supported by Loving Cup and Annie McKinnon. Bring your own chairs or picnic rug…sample some of the delicious regional food and wine on offer from stalls operating throughout the evening. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

The concert will commence late afternoon with  local artist Annie McKinnon, followed by a traditional Gamilaroi Welcome to Country. The evening program will commence with the unique honest vocals of Roshani Priddis leading a blues/roots inspired outfit. Roshani Priddis, a Tamworth local, was a 2008 Australian Idol finalist.

To continue the entertainment will be Wes Carr!! While Wes won the 2008 Australian Idol he is an established artist and performer having had previous success with collaborative albums and wildly known on the Australian live music scene. Wes’s bluesy rock and awesome vocals will have you up and dancing in no time!

ian_moss_4.jpgOur headline artist this year is none other than Ian Moss…and Australian rock icon! Ian Moss delivers an unforgettable sound – not only as a telling soloist on guitar but especially with his silken voice, ringing with clarity and resonating with pure soul. Ian first exploded into our consciousness as lead guitarist for Cold Chisel, one of Australia’s most well known and favourite groups. After the band’s dissolution Ian built a successful solo career touring Australia and Europe. With his focus now on soulful melodic music, Ian will put on an amazing performance in this beautiful atmospheric setting…

Concert goers are reminded they should bring their own seating, warm clothes as it does cool off at night and a torch is always useful at the end of the evening as you walk back to your car. Buses will run from Coonabarabran for $6 return, but bookings are essential. Why not get a group together and organise a bus to bring you to the Concert…no need for a designated driver!!

This is great family event! Children will be well entertained, with a designated supervised play-space...parents can leave their children with experienced Children’s entertainers from 5.00pm and then settle in to enjoy their evening knowing their kids are safe and in sight.

Loving_Cup.JPGWhile our concert goers are welcome to bring a picnic tea with them...we do encourage them to taste the delicious treats from our food and wine stalls.

With great food, wine and coffee, awesome entertainment and the best outdoor concert venue you’ll ever get to…why would you want to go to any other concert?!

With such fabulous performers tickets will go fast so get in early to avoid disappointment! Entry to the Warrumbungle Crooked Mountain Concert is by pre-purchased ticket only…order your ticket by completing this ticket order form and faxing it to the Warrumbungle National Park Visitor Centre on 02 6825 4334.

ABOUT THE CROOKED MOUNTAIN CONCERT:

The concept of an outdoor concert was initiated in 2005 with Sirocco and DidjeriduDingo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Warrumbungles as a national park and since then has attracted performers like James Morrison, stringmansassy, Emma Pask, Vince Jones, James Reyne, Kate Ceberano and Jon English. In the entertainment world it has become a must do event.

The Coonabarabran Area office of NPWS is appreciative of the support and sponsorship provided by its partners in this venture –The VRA, Warrumbungle Shire Council, ABC Western, the Coonabarabran Arts Council, and Country Energy.

The Concert has always been a great evening out for families and is a great chance to highlight the magnificent beauty of the Warrumbungle National Park.
