Toowoomba – Garden City

As Queensland's largest inland city, Toowoomba is the hub of the fertile Darling Downs region. Toowoomba offers the best of both worlds, a relaxed lifestyle and easy access to Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Toowoomba truly has something to offer everyone, so take your time to look around and you’ll soon find out that there’s more to this ‘Garden City’ than meets the eye.

Toowoomba is renowned for the multitude of events and festivals held throughout the year, such as: the Royal Toowoomba Show, the Carnival of Flowers, the Toowoomba Cup, Australian Gospel Music Festival, Farmfest and AgShow.

The art deco Empire Theatre was built in 1911 and is Australia's largest regional theatre. The Toowoomba Railway Station was build in 1874 and features an Italian Renaissance Style, which provides class and sophistication to the classical charm of the city. The Cobb and Co Museum also provides a fascinating perspective into Toowoomba's colourful heritage.

Toowoomba has a variety of Heritage Walks through a number of streets and suburbs, showcasing many different aspects of the city's rich history.

The Royal Bull’s Head Inn at nearby Drayton was the first building erected in the Toowoomba region. Other nearby attractions include Jondaryan Woolshed and Rudd’s Pub at Nobby.
