Hepburn Springs Mineral Springs Reserve

Ballarat Tours and Attractions

Hepburn Springs Mineral Springs Reserve and nearby Daylesford is half way between Ballarat and Castlemaine or about an hour-and-a-half from Melbourne in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges.

Dominated by exclusive resorts and private spas, Hepburn Springs is a town where you can be pampered to your heart’s content.

The Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve on the other hand is free to enter and offers lawns, shady trees, seating and BBQ’s where families can relax and enjoy the unique ambience, a walk or a picnic. Taste the different mineral formulations at the old-fashioned pumps and pipes in the reserve where on any given day you will see people filling bottles and containers with their favourite mineral laden water from Soda Spring, Sulphur Spring, Pavilion Spring, Locarno Spring and Wyuna Spring to take home. Each has a distinctly different flavour and aroma depending on the minerals present in the spring.

Unfortunately none of the springs are hot springs and the creek within the park is not suitable for swimming. There are several camping options and Caravan Parks nearby.
