All Piglets are treated humanely and with respect and do retire early to a great farm life on Noahs Farm…all 6 piggies are auctioned individually every race and named by winners for the race calling…..the winning pig is the 1st piggie in the milk bowl (they all share the milk at the finish)….it’s the obstacle course that makes for the laughs …not hard nor too easy but they are in training for this event…..the winning piggie gets the whole prize pool and shares 50% with the Royal Flying Doctors and the other 50% with his generous owner (who won him at auction)…the owner also gets a priceless trophy to display on the mantelpiece at home….a lot of generous owners donate all or part of their winnings back to RFDS….it’s all in the spirit of the event………

2017 is our 13th year of racing piglets and we hope with your help and attendance to make it bigger and better than ever…..last year saw nearly 600 people support us and we hope all return plus more….in the past 5 years Cow Wilson and friends ..The Nindigully Pub staff and people like you have helped rise over $14500 for RFDS….that’s a lot of money from a small town like Nindigully (our permanent population is only 9 people…yes 9)

FACILITIES…well we are in the bush (edge of the outback) but we really don’t miss out on much..550 kms east of Brisbane..200ks south Roma and 200 kms north of Moree….so yes we do have hot showers and cold toilets available at the pub free of charge always…and we have heaps of camping and caravan (unpowered) spots along our beautiful tree lined and water filled Moonie River where you can swim. Fish and trap yabbies at your leisure anytime for free…..at the pub always we have qualified chefs on staff and have beautiful fresh meals available 7 days a week (the biggest and best 1 kilo plus T bone in Aust) and recently launched the challenge for the biggest hamburger in Australia with our now famous 5 kilo plus Road train Burger (it feeds min of 4 adults)…if you eat the T-bone and chew the bone on your own you get a free pot of beer if you eat the road train burger on your own you get a free keg of beer….

At the pig races it is traditional to have outside vendors to set up to tempt you with the finest in show quality food plus we have available for you to partake in a beautiful pig on the spit…sorry food is not free (nor drinks) but it is all reasonably priced and excellent quality….

If you don’t want to camp St George is only 45klms away (25mins) and has over 100 wonderful motel rooms in total as well as 3 caravan parks and full town facilities …

Last and never least for your pleasure and ours our friend and professional pyro technician Warren Ritchie from Fireworks Downunder will light up the beautiful night sky at appx 8pm with a show you will remember……

ALL WE NEED IS YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS to make it successful….
