The Peak Range National Park (Including Wolfgang Peak)

For a scenic drive, travel along Peak Downs Highway for panoramic views of The Peak Range. The Peak Range is a chain of prominent and picturesque mountains to the east of Clermont.

It consists of various sharp peaks visible from a considerable distance across the flat central highland plains.

Many of the formations are possible to climb but not without permission and instruction from Queensland Parks and Wildlife. Wolfang Peak, the range’s most popular mountain is 572m high and takes approximately three hours to summit and return.

Protective clothing and plenty of water is recommended to guard against the bush and heat.
