Charleville Tours and Attractions

The “Check out Charleville” Heritage, Flood, and Fire tour is a 2+ hour tour starting off at the Charleville Bush Caravan Park, being the original race track for Charleville before being turned into a free range piggery in the 1930s.

Many of the old buildings for both still remain today.

The Tour continues through town focusing on the three major floods, flood mitigation works and the catchment area for the Warrego river system that begins in the sandstone belt around Carnarvon National Park before checking out the dozens of significant historic buildings that grace Charleville's streets, stories about some of the forefathers and characters of the town and visiting the original town site at Gowrie Crossing.

The tour also includes interesting facts about the Murweh Shire, artesian water supply, power production, the Cobb and Co factory, the Abattoirs and local flora and fauna.
