Two Savannah Guides Schools are held each year at varying locations across the top of Australia, featuring experts in fields such as ecology, traditional culture, geology, land management, guiding technique and tourism. They are usually four days in length with many activities in the field and are an awesome opportunity for a behind-the-scenes experience of the area and are open to all to enjoy.
The October 2017 School will be a special opportunity to join the Gangalidda Garawa Rangers as they showcase their new range of tours which provide cultural insights into a classic Gulf Savannah landscape. Bush Tucker, Albert River Fishing and Boat Touring, Stargazing on Australia's largest salt pans, some fabulous birding around the announcement of Tarrant Station's East Asian – Australasian Flyway recognition and a set of insightful presentations will make this a Field School to remember, AND we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for a Morning Glory cloud formation to top it off!
