Flora Reserve

The Gilgandra Native Flora Reserve is 8.5 hectares of natural bushland which features many plant species, particularly local wildflowers which are best seen from September to November. It comprises masses of low colourful shrubs among small eucalypts and is a spectacular sight in spring.
A feature is the beautiful pink Phebalium nottii.
With dirt paths winding through the reserve, bbq, picnic tables, toilets and drinking water, the park is a haven for birdlovers, plant lovers and bushwalkers.

To get there head north-east on the Oxley Highway towards Coonabarabran for 8 km then turn right into Flora Reserve Rd (well signposted & about 14km in total).
